Bad review from non client

I don't understand why thumbtack allows someone to mark you as hired just to give you a bad review. This person did not hire me, I actually turned down the job. They were mad. They marked me as hired and then gave me a bad review. Because I got this bad review my business went down significantly even though all of my other reviews are five star. When I called thumbtack to ask them why they would allow someone to Mark me as hired just to give me a bad review they basically said too bad we can't help you. They seem to care more about people that don't pay them instead of us the people who pay them. It does not show respect for the Thumbtack professionals.
