Which reason do we select if we need to request a refund?

Hello,

I have been a victim of this many, many times. I was told about the phone number verification process last week, yet this week received 2 more invalid phone numbers. What is the process/program you are using to verify these numbers????

@Bricago it depends on what the reason is - if it's for an invalid phone number, you should see that as an option in the request form.

Yea, it's about time. I've had to pay many times due to the lack of this feature. Thanks TT! For finally pulling your head out! This is something that several other services I subscribe to have been doing for some time.

It's a dead phone number, but I realize that it might be re-issued, so that's cool. Also I ran a name and city background check, that person doesn't exist in this county. In fact, she didn't come back in this state.

Perhaps it's time to adopt 2-factor authentication before accepting inquiries from Users.

As stated previously, the Thumbtack Denial Team is on the ball. Denied in 30 minutes or less!

@DerHilfer_LLC I would recommend reaching out via the newly launched refunddisputes@thumbtack.com email and let them know that the number is a dead number.

Since joining Thumbtack I have started to receive several calls a day, from different areas across my state, from numbers that are not in my contact list, not from potential customers, but I'm guessing "made up" numbers. At first they were trying to sell me car insurance, and then I would just get silence. It's tough not to answer because I wonder if it is a potential client. But now I don't know how to discourage them.

The only connection I can think of is sharing my contact information with Thumbtack.

I'm not saying the numbers I receive are wrong, as I haven't called those who don't respond to messaging, but I wonder how to guard against my contact information being used.

Has this come up before?

@Jeany Thumbtack does not sell your contact information, so I am not sure these instances are related.
