Recent massive drop in rankings since the new year?

I typically turn my leads on and off as I need them as I am a one man show and often will be too busy on a roofing project to handle incoming leads. I have 67 reviews, all 5 stars, and have been using Thumbtack for about two years. whenever I turn my leads back on, I am always in the top 4, sometimes top 2 in results. I am suddenly ranked 11th behind lots of companies I have never seen before with inferior review numbers, and/or stars. I have my leads price set to max and my budget unlimited with a fully filled out profile. I believe there is some issue with the algorithm but got no useful info when I called thumbtack on the phone. I have left my leads turned on hoping it would change, but it has not. what do I do? I wont be able to get any leads this way.

Hi @MOsinskie - so that I can best answer your question I wanted to clarify: When you say you "turn your leads off or back on" are you turning targeting off or are you using the Hide My Business feature? I ask, because if you are turning targeting off and then back on that will impact your ranking and can take you some time to move back up. If you Hide Your Business instead, that does not impact ranking.
