Getting charged a ton, without connection or credibility for leads

Thumbtack. We love you at times, but mostly we are starting to NOT like you. Your staff reviewing the refund requests must be sleeping or drunk to think this can fly with companies when you charge us. We are constantly (including today) getting charged $70+ per lead for app/software leads. And when we "connect", they ignore us, or hang up on us. Today we paid for a lead, and the woman will not answer her phone, became rude and hung up 4 times, after she posted the request for help. This wasnt a cold call. Hundreds and hundreds of dead lead charges are coming out of our company account and we will soon be moving to legal action against Thumbtack if we are not provided a proper service. These 'leads' you are charging for are a joke. We request someone reply to this and help recover money for these "leads" that went nowhere and had no proper review by the TT team. I will give this post 1 week for proper responses before we involve our attorneys and file action against thousands of dollars lost to fake jobs or un reviewed requests.

    @tippingtoastmedia I am really sorry to hear about your frustrations. I would first recommend please sending this to support@thumbtack.com as this community is more a space for pros to connect with other pros and is not a support channel. When you do reach out I would recommend being specific about which categories you feel have lead prices that are too high as well. (When you send to support@ this gets logged, so I highly recommend doing so).

    Second, if you are able to you should join our bi-weekly networking sessions that happen over Zoom. There is always a group of seasoned pros there to offer great advice for things like non-responsive customers and I am always there to try and answer any questions. One thing I cannot help with is refunds, unfortunately.
