Why is thumbtack soliciting payments from my clients without my consent?

I honestly can't believe any business would operate this way. I know TT recently started offering the option (at least I thought it was optional) to accept payments through thumbtack. I never signed up for this. I never added any banking information to thumbtack. The only payment info thumbtack has from is the credit card I use to pay for leads.
But the other day I marked a job as confirmed, and then shortly after that I get a notice telling me the client submitted a payment through thumbtack and now thumbtack wants me to provide my banking info so I can get my money.
Thumbtack SHOULD NOT REQUEST PAYMENTS FROM MY CLIENTS unless I explicitly gave permission to do so. I honestly can't believe any business would do this. It's completely unprofessional. I already have a payment system in place.
How do I prevent this from happening again?
