As 2022 draws to a close, I can’t help but feel a bit emotional about all that we have accomplished, together. At the beginning of this year we set out to continue building a strong and engaged Community with the help of our Community members (that's YOU). And thanks to all of you, we did just that!
Some 2022 Community highlights:

- 26 incredible CommuniTEA networking events
- A wealth of amazing content from pros like you
- Tens of thousand of searches
- You have created 36 networking groups
- You’ve visited the Community nearly 200,000 times and made over 1,500 posts & comments - and with each visit you have made this a better place
We’re proud of the year we’ve had and we know it couldn’t have happened without you. Here’s to hoping 2023 brings even more success — to the Community and to you and your businesses.

Our proudest accomplishment of 2022 is that, despite where the world is, we managed to successfully make it through our first year of business ownership and will be moving on to year 2 in 2023!

Our biggest accomplishment for 2022 was starting at the end of October and successfully landing a commercial contract with a significant company and locking in Five recurring clients. If this says anything about how the upcoming year will look, we are ready for the ride.

Best part of 2022 was that we kept growing as a business. I'm sure we're all in the same boat here; 2022 had A LOT of challenge's. Working though COVID outbreaks, price hikes, shipping/manufacturing delays, finding new vendors/customers/supply chains and let's not forget this is on top of all the normal problems you have when operating a business. So if you were one of the business (like us) that overcame adversity my hats off to you! We managed to continue to grow our small business with reviews (made top pro for the 6th year straight), finding new customers, and reevaluating and streamlining our vendors. I once heard that if your business isn't growing it's actually moving backwards. I totally get that now.

2022 was nuts, and that's not even considering what I have been dealing with personally. Although it may not be directly related to my business, my proudest and shining moment was the day they told me I was cancer free and my stem cell transplant was 100% effective!! Talk about some really great news!
As for business, I am just proud to have been plugged in and connected to such a great team of pros. Covid took a tremendous toll on small businesses but having the Thumbtack community helped me to stay motivated and positive, even through the worst of the pandemic. Thank you to all the pros that make this community what it is.

2022 was incredible! It was the beginning of my business, and thanks to TT, I have built relationships with several students, and taught them skills that will last a lifetime. In 2023 I look forward to continuing this journey.

i started using thumbtack in October, it has really boosted my business and got me a lot of clientele. Thanks to the help of thumbtack I’m able to live off of my photography/videography business and it’s only been 2 months. I’m not exactly where I wanna be but when I have more money I’ll be able to invest more in thumbtack and make more money.

2022 has taught me alot of lessons taught me how to accept the good/bad of the painting industry good as in networking more clients connecting with different professionals being chosen for bigger opportunities which is great and I am appreciative, It also taught me the “bad” dealing with negative customer interactions replacing staff and taking control of what we built many times I felt like it would go under but the more I tried the more the situations worked out. all in all in 2022 I would say my proudest accomplishment was overcoming adversity because I never dealt with it in the painting business and to overcome it and continue to build for the business after with support was something I did not think at the time was possible now I feel so much more complete like every stone has been overturned which feels amazing communitea played a huge part in that.
what I would love to see in the community in 2023 is topics surrounding how pros deal with day to day health routines mental and physical I know day in and day out can be tough and if we can just say hey you are not alone you can write on this feed and other pros can just add in a motivational tip or idea I think would be nice I know I know this about business but they go hand to hand doesn’t have to be personal but one word can change someone’s mood for the better….

OMG @ShaquealThomas I love this idea so much! We should totally do a daily inspiration or daily affirmations thread!!! Let's dooooo it! If you start it I will pin it to the top and encourage people to add to it. We can all share inspiration, experiences, mental and physical health resources, and anything else that might be helpful. We could even get some of our yoga/meditation/fitness pros to join in and hire them to do some virtual classes!

My proudest accomplishment for 2022 was staying true to my path. This was my trial year of working for myself to see if I could sustain myself running my business full-time. Even though the summer was a trying time, I pulled through and more than doubled my income from last year, making this the first year I've ever made the most in my freelance business. As an added bonus, I've acquired some incredible clients that have become life-long friends. I'm very grateful cause this would not be possible without the help of Thumbtack. Thank you! 💙

We had an up-and-down year but have fought through it and survived. Our business has grown substantially ( for us) with a lot of growing pains BUT like many other comments, we all persevered, grew from obstacles, and flourished. No one knows what 2023 will bring but don't look at the ground; look at the heavens, thank whomever it is you thank, and we will all be here for 2023's contest!!!!! Merry Christmas to all.

I'm new here however , I wanted to chime in! In 2019 I started a landscaping company here in Jax FL. At the time and still I'm the only female owner of a legit licensed and insured landscape company. However, in recent years I start having customers ask me for referrals for reliable home service help. I could usually provide one for them. The one service that kept getting ask for was housekeeping. I never had a answer for sadly ,but after previewing and nights up researching I found the over head was affordable to try. So in early 2022 I ran a pilot of it to see if it would be successful mainly within the same network who was asking for this the landscape customers. It became something more then I thought in 8 months or so . I hired more workers because I was getting more business then I thought I would in November I decided to make the company official and I'm proud I did! We are new here and having success and I plan to put the landscape company on here too. Especially for all the advertising mistakes I have learned over the years this seems to be the best fit. I am proud I took a leap of faith . My workers are happy I am thrilled to have come so far in such a little part of my life. I see both companies being successful in 2023 even though one was already existing and achieving success now both will! Ty for allowing me to sure!

What I would like to see in the Thumbtack Community for 2023:
- Scheduled meetings with Pros in our industries.
- More guidance in targeting our great fit customers.
- Increased participation from Pros.
