Can't do it option

@DustiO Hello! I have a question about responding to leads. It is recommended in the Thumbtack app that we respond to leads within 1 business hour. If we respond with the "can't do it" option , does that maintain our quick-response rating as long as we do it within 1 hour? Sometimes I get a lead that is not right for me, and I assume that even a "no" response counts as a quick response for our ranking. Can you confirm? I haven't actually used the "can't do it" option yet, and I want to be sure first.
Also, as a hypnotherapist, I get many Thumbtack leads that are for a 3rd party, such as someone asking about hypnosis for their spouse or parent. Per your response to Lisa P above, should I not be charged for those? I will say that most of them don't pan out, since it is not the individual themselves who is inquiring. Thanks! Jennifer

I believe those do count toward your response time, so be sure to respond, even if you can't do the job!
As for 3rd party requests, you should submit a refund request for those and see if you can get a refund.

Thanks @DustiO. Apparently "3rd party requests" means something other than requests submitted by a friend or relative. I submitted two refund requests for such leads, and they were denied.

Yea Thumbtack has a thing for not refunding completely bogus leads. Seems they care more about profit margins than looking after their service professionals and running a fair operation. I was in love with Thumbtack earlier on. It used to be such a blessing to our business and my family. Now they nail us for $100+ instant bookings on jobs that have less than a $200 gross value, and to boot the completely bogus unresponsive no-show $100+ instant bookings they won't refund us for.
