Experienced pros please help

Hey there, like any other new business owner you overcome mountains of adversity. However, I've found myself at complete odds with the current model of Thumbtack. I want to succeed in this avenue as I build the foundation of my service company. The reason being Thumbtack gives us so much opportunity to reach new clientele. On the other hand, the 4 key factors that dictate thumbtack's search ranking along with the fluctuating prices of leads makes TT treacherous terrain.
Being that "more competitive" lead prices and driven activity to TT by review request are lead factors in search result ranking. I find it being a weekly struggle to make a good return on Thumbtack along with building market stability for my own brand. High Intent customer consistency is a major challenge in seeing a good ROI considering my "max lead prices" must be highly competitive to get decent search ranking. The lack of "client" user awareness makes this more common creating more tire kicker leads at higher prices. Finding it hard to recognize where thumbtack honors it's commitment of quality to pros makes the urge to encourage clients to leave a review on this particular platform difficult. Naturally I am not excited to drive hard earned traffic to a platform that I can't see benefiting the industry or it's professionals.
Weeks ago I believed we were making head way and that the thumbtack executives were finally hearing our outcries. With the highest earning leads consistently being of lower cost and the lowest earning leads resulting in the highest cost it creates a constant circle of high loss and low return.
Please someone help please give some tips
