Meeting & Beating the Odds

Considering Leads on avg. Cost 30%-40% of my earning on each gig with Thumbtack I've learned adding a TT tax to every invoice saves me big time. I believe it should vary per Industry. However, for home service pros who have other expenses like fuel, labor, and equipment rental after paying thumbtacks lead cost are left with little to red profit.
In addition to this new method of self provided pro security. I've noticed my self like many pros troubled by numerous tire kickers or flat out people clicking buttons online that don't know what they're doing. So I've decided that free price estimates are no longer a privilege for clients using thumbtack to hire our services. We direct our clients to our site from first contact prompting them to choose a service package and submit a deposit before we commit our valuable time and resources to a official scheduling with me or any of our other office personale via phone call, text, or email.
We can't hold TT responsible for the poor practices they exhibit any longer. They're job is to earn from our lack of industry experience and marketing capability nothing more or less. Ours is to allocate every bit of resource from them until we've built self sustaining companies and no longer need them! Let's work hard and be the strength this community needs by efficiently drawing the line where we stand.
