Guidance in conversion

Ive only been with thumbtack for a week and ive been charged $343.29 for 4 moving leads which only 1 was completed earning $70. Can someone please assist with this! I dont want to alter my budget and max lead cost as it will make my account less competitive and ill get a significantly less amount of traffic. I only charge $98.50/hr but 1 lead can be $150+....What can do someone please help

@AmericasFirstHauling your best bet is to do those things that you listed above — the nice thing is, you can play around with budget and max lead pricing at any time, so you can test out what works best for you and you aren't locked into those numbers for any period of time. I would suggest trying to change them for a few days or a week and see what difference it makes.
I would also suggest going through your targeting preferences with a fine toothed comb (you may have already done this, so just ignore me if you have!) - and be sure you have selected all of the types of jobs you want to do, and that you have the right travel areas for you and your costs/budget.
You can also join our bi-weekly CommuniTEA events - these are virtual networking events we do over Zoom every other Thursday, during which you can chat with other pros and get their advice/tips.
Hope this helps!

You may make more money by getting fewer leads and closing the deal on the leads you do get. In Thumbtack, being more competitive equals paying more for a lead than other vendors on the app. If you're not careful you can be so "competitive" that you don't make a profit...and what good is that? Remember, Thumbtack makes their money by getting customers to contact more vendors and generating more leads, putting you in direct competition with more vendors going after a single prospect. And by persuading you to pay more for your leads.
