Why are they charging me if I didn’t even respond to the lead?

I’m new to the platform, and I received a lead. I just clicked on the message and already got a notification that I’m being charged $50. How does this work?

    Thank you so much for responding to me.
    Yes, I am new to the platform and didn’t really understand the logic of being charged even before getting the lead.
    I would love to join the CommuniTEA to better understand how this works and see if the platform fits what I’m looking for.

    Thank you for getting back to me.
    I’ve paused my activities for now until I better understand how the platform works.
    I was charged twice—over $100—before even accepting the lead, which seems off.
    I would really appreciate a refund, as the tutorial for requesting one didn’t work as expected.
    I’m eager to use the platform, but I want to make sure it will work for me moving forward.

    I am not able to help with refunds, you'll need to request a refund on your end. Here is an article that walks you through how to do that. Hopefully we will see you in a CommuniTEA meeting and we can chat live to help you understand Thumbtack better :)

  • Hi @DustiO, I got the answers I needed through the chat.
    I wasn’t able to get two of the requested refunds, even though the person was from another state and needed someone in person. But I’m checking if it still works for me.
    I understood and removed the direct leads and my card until I see if the platform works for me.
