Quick profile audit

What can a customer learn from your profile in 10 seconds?

A customer may be comparing pros between meetings, during a lunch break, or while trying to solve a problem before the day gets busier.

They are probably not reading every word on every profile. They are scanning for a few signals:

  • Does this pro handle projects like mine?
  • Can I see proof of their work?
  • Do they sound trustworthy?
  • What happens after I reach out?

Try looking at your profile through that customer’s eyes. Give it this five-part test.

Test 2 of 5

Do your photos show the work you want more of?

Look at the first five images a customer sees. Do they represent your current services, or are they older photos from jobs you no longer want?

Different services need different types of proof:

  • Cleaners can show before-and-after results or carefully finished rooms.
  • Painters can show the complete space, not only a close-up of one wall.
  • Movers can show protected furniture, organized trucks, and careful handling.
  • Photographers can show different event sizes, lighting conditions, and finished galleries.
  • Coaches, tutors, and consultants can use professional workspace photos, process graphics, credentials, or approved client results.
  • Event pros can show setup, guest-ready details, and the final environment.

Add short captions that explain the service, challenge, or result. “Two-bedroom move-out cleaning with appliance and cabinet detailing” tells customers more than “Another happy client.”

Test 3 of 5

Can customers tell what working with you will feel like?

Your profile should show more than the finished result. It should help customers understand your process.

Consider answering questions such as:

  • What information do you need before providing an estimate?
  • Do you begin with a phone call, photos, measurements, or a consultation?
  • What does your standard service include?
  • How do you communicate if the scope, price, or timing changes?
  • What should the customer prepare before you arrive?

Reviews can help here too. Look for feedback that describes communication, punctuality, preparation, cleanliness, or how you handled an unexpected issue. Those details help future customers imagine the experience.

Why is the feed dominated by these announcements. We are here to talk to each other and raise concerns with TT not sift though a bunch of marketing that could be ignored in an email.
